Biography

- Nguyễn Tường Vân was born on May 20, 1982 in Saigon, Vietnam.

- From 1988 to 1993, she went to Phan Dinh Phung elementary school.

- From 1993 to 1997, she went to Ngo Si Lien middle school.

- From 1997 to 2000, she attended to Nguyen Thi Minh Khai high school.

. She also joined the first Judo club of the school and represented the school to the City Youth Judo Champion. Her coaches were Cao Ngoc Phuong Trinh, a three-time judo champion of the Southeast Asian Games – who is regarded as the ‘golden girl’ of Vietnamese judo – and judo coach Tran Vu Hieu Hanh.

. During first months of 2000, at the age of 17, she represented her class to participate the school’s “Recycle Designer Competition” where she caught attention of Mực Tím magazine.

- After graduated from high school, she got accepted to Open University with major Computer Science.

- In November 2001, she participated in a beauty pageant of the Vietnamese Women’s World magazine where she finished as the most beautiful face winner. After that, she started her career as a model for magazines, calendars, fashion collections, etc… while she still went to school. At that time, she had a chance to approach small screen with a second main role in Cay Hue Xa with Hua Vi Van.

- In November 2002, as a third year student of computer science and her modeling career was at blossom, she forbade everything to go to the U.S.A. with her family because for her, education and family are more important than anything else.

- In 2004, she went to Evergreen Valley College. At the same time, she worked 2 jobs as a Cal-Grant Specialist Assistant at Financal Aid office at Evergreen Valley College and professional model at Kim Loi Production. However, she still kept good score and joined a lot of activities of school.

- During 2005 – 2007, Tuong Van achieved a lot of  scholarships and awards:

She also participated in two beauty pageants:

. Miss Intercollegiate Northern California where she finished as the first place winner and miss photogenic.

. Miss Vietnam USA where she finished as the second runner up.

- In 2007, she graduated with a Cum Laude Graduation Honor of 3.66/4. She achieved her A.A. degree of double majors: CSU Study and Business Administration. At the same time, she got accepted to University of California Davis. She had been consistently taking up to nineteen units per quarter to complete her B.S. degree within one year.
- In 2008, she graduated with a B.S. degree of Managerial Economics and worked for Acronics Systems, Inc. as a Account Manager until Dec. 2010.

- On November 6th, 2010 she got married to Minh-Tri Nguyen – the love of her life.
